A Gift of the Kennedy Family

Friends of the JFK Birthplace – the “JFK Friends” – aims to provide volunteers, expertise, community outreach, advocacy, and funding support, when needed for John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site at 83 Beals Street in Brookline.

We provide valuable insights into JFK's early life and his influence on American history.

Acquired in 1966 by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, the house underwent renovations to return it to the way she remembered it when JFK was born there on May 29, 1917. On what would have been his 52nd birthday in the spring of 1969, Mrs. Kennedy ceded the restored property to the National Park Service to maintain for the perpetual benefit of the American people.

JFK Friends was established in 2020 as a nonprofit to provide ongoing support for park programs, preservation, and special events. Everything we do as a Friends Group is in support of the legacy of President John F. Kennedy and his family. We invite everyone to help us support this national treasure.
